Description Korg 2008-06-06 19:37:56 UTC
There should be a way to bypass an interwiki redirect, i.e. to be able to create a redirect or an article with an interwiki prefix in their name (m:, s:, etc.) instead of being redirected to an external site.

For example, the abbreviation "[[M:TG]]", sometimes used for "[[Magic: The Gathering]]", points to the Meta page "TG" instead of the Wikipedia article.

Provided that the page on the external site wouldn't be used, and would nevertheless still be accessible via other means, being able to create such redirects or pages when needed would be useful.

Well, there is not, and there should not be. This is just how it works. Prefixes defined as namespaces and interwiki/interlanguage links simply cannot be overridden, and have priority.

Closed as WONTFIX.
