Description brianna.laugher 2008-03-29 09:43:19 UTC
There is a 11.5MB OGG file which is unable to uploaded to Commons. It often just results in a blank white page, although occasionally you get the blue "Our servers are currently experiencing a technical problem" error page, with these details:

Request: POST http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Upload, from 208.80.152.41 via sq27.wikimedia.org (squid/2.6.STABLE18) to 10.0.5.3 (10.0.5.3)
Error: ERR_ZERO_SIZE_OBJECT, errno [No Error] at Sat, 29 Mar 2008 09:29:02 GMT

The file can be downloaded from http://rapidshare.com/files/89136176/De-Aschenputtel-wikisource.ogg.html for anyone who cares to try this, and it plays without error.

This was first reported in January <http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Help_desk/Archives/2008Jan#Upload-Probleme>; I find today it's still true.

The download link is dead now. There's is nothing to do on shell, so removed that keyword. I doubt this is a Wikimedia issue, so changed Product/Component.

Without the original file, we have no real way of looking into this. Unless the reporter can get us that, I suggest INVALID.
