Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Bryan Tong Minh 2008-03-14 19:32:19 UTC
Images should be searchable by metadata, such as height, width, mimetype, timestamp etc.
Comment 1 Roan Kattouw 2008-03-14 19:40:40 UTC
I think that requires new indexes?
Comment 2 Bryan Tong Minh 2008-03-14 19:43:57 UTC
Probably. Or even better, it gets integrated into LuceneSearch.

*bug 21795 "camera categories" (proposal c would allow searching metadata through categories they generate)

Comment 6 DrTrigon 2013-12-29 22:15:08 UTC
DrTrigonBot does extract some of the metadata - so a very small set of the metadata within the files DrTrigonBot processed should actually be searchable already. This can be extended but will never be an adequate replacement for this ticket/bug.
