Description Anon Sricharoenchai 2008-02-13 05:20:01 UTC
How to reproduce,
# Purge some user interface page, http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/mediawiki:mainpage?action=purge
# The UI of that message will crash, appearing as "<div class='noarticletext'>Main Page</div>", for example.
# The page http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/ will show "Bad title".
# The link on logo at top-left is "http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/--error:_link_target_missing--"
# Not limited to "mediawiki:mainpage", according to my experiment, purging other UI, such as "mediawiki:portal" also cause the same thing.
# Sometimes, the crash of this UI is not occur suddenly after the purging of UI page. Try purge the page you are viewing, for this crash to take effect.

I first discover this when purging mediawiki:portal at wikiquote.
Sorry for that, I have also tested purging mediawiki:mainpage on wikiquote.
The first page of en.wikiquote is now gone. I'm very very sorry for that.
I should test this only on test.wikipedia.org. I'm so sorry :(
