A page like ---- #REDIRECT bar This is a foo. ---- is shown as a redirect on foo's What links here.
The issue is visible at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spezial:Linkliste/Eiwei%C3%9F with http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hauptzelle&redirect=no
I assume we want it not to get listed on Whatlinkshere/Foo at all, right?
(In reply to comment #2) > I assume we want it not to get listed on Whatlinkshere/Foo at all, right? or as a normal link, I'm not sure about that.
The backlink should not be listed at all - if A is a redirect to B, and A happens to also link to C, and D links to A, that does not mean that D links to C in any way. It might make slight sense to think of D linking to B (skipping the redirect), but not to C. This issue is visible on enwiki in http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Nobots&limit=500&from=0 (look for User talk:Politics rule). It also shows up because of pages like http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hedyscepe&redirect=no which link to en:Taxon via a redirect sorting template. The backlinks for Taxon show numerous examples of the problem.
