Description Terry A. Hurlbut 2008-01-12 00:25:25 UTC
Inline queries of this form:

<ask format=broadtable mainlabel=Name default="This body has no satellites">
Primary::Earth
Periapsis::*
Apoapsis::*
Planet mass::*
Surface area::*
</ask>

suppress the display of inline tagged references produced by the Cite extension. THis bug is critical because, as matters now stand, an article can display inline tagged references or an inline query result, but not both.
Comment 1 Markus Krötzsch 2008-02-05 08:58:49 UTC
We will investigate the problem, although it might be that Cite is also responsible here.

Luckily, inline queries now can be written without using <ask> anymore, but using #ask instead. This is equivalent or better in all known cases, so it is the preferred method since SMW1.0 (documentation will follow soon). For the above example, this would yield:

Comment 2 Markus Krötzsch 2008-06-12 11:09:42 UTC
Using <ask> is not recommended any more in current SMW versions, and #ask does nto have the problem. Hence I decrease severity to "normal".
Comment 3 Markus Krötzsch 2008-08-08 20:52:12 UTC
<ask> is now fully deprecated and many things do not work for it anyway. Every wiki should use #ask.

Hence this bug is no longer of much priority, and will most probably not ever be fixed.
