Description Thomas H. Larsen 2007-12-17 01:35:09 UTC
I am requesting a feature which would allow administrators to set the default revision for an article or image to display on. This would allow edits and other modifications to take place to the article or image, but the changes made between the "current revision" and "default revision" would need to be checked and verified by an administrator, who could then update the default revision.

Cheers, and feel free to contact me for more information (I am fairly new to bug reporting),

Is there any consensus on Wiki for this? I though something like flagged revisions would cover this?

I have not made any efforts to acquire consensus for this feature yet.

As far as I recall, flagged revisions have (a) not been enabled on Wikipedia (or the English version of it, at any rate), and (b) contain an additional rating feature that could more effectively be developed using templates and other already-existing features.

Cheers,

Thomas

This is precisely what flagged revisions are, it's not a separate request. I'm not sure if or how to resolve it (is there a bug for flagged revisions?).

I read the flagged revisions page again, and it has changed somewhat since I last read it. You are correct; I made a mistake. Sorry for this ...

Cheers,

Thomas
