Description René Kijewski 2007-11-26 02:58:28 UTC
Currently images inserted with [[Image:...]] will link to their corresponding description page. There are several circumstances where this might not be wanted. Take de.wp's "Hauptseite", the main page, for an example. On this page some images should lead to portals pages. This is realized by means of #redirect, which is strongly discouraged for otherpages (e.g. due to license purposes).

Imagemaps are just weak auxiliaries, making paragraphs, not allowing frames, thumbs...

I think there should be an addition parameter "link" for image-statements: [[Image:Test.jpg|link=Wikipedia:Sandbox|thumb|left|Example]]
