Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Daniel Arnold 2007-11-12 20:04:15 UTC
de.wikipedia (probably like any other Wikipedia) has a large set of custom JavaScript programs programmed by users. Currently there is no easy way sorting them (by quality), recommending them and switching them on and off (for a average user that has no deeper technical knowledge).

Therefore there is by Duesentrieb that allows for an easy management of Javascript gadgets.

So I ask you to enable this extension for de.wikipedia.

After installation of the extension, there's a header at the top of each page saying: "((NO GADGETS))". Since this is not good, I've disabled the extension again.

Please fix the bug and reopen this bug when you're done.
Comment 2 Misza 2007-11-15 18:11:39 UTC
It seems to only appear as long as the [[MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition]] page does not exist. Once it's filled with any content (a single asterisk character will do), it vanishes. So, any admin can create the page and reopen this bug.

A side note is that the extension is listed on as "experimental" - is it no longer true?
Comment 3 Daniel Arnold 2007-11-15 23:20:37 UTC
Duesentrieb fixed the bug and the extension is now active in de.wikipedia. Thanks a lot for your work :-)
Comment 4 Daniel Arnold 2007-11-16 21:00:08 UTC
brion deactivated it until he reviewed the code
