In the same way we allow preloading templates for editing articles, it would be a handy feature to allow preloading image templates in the summary field on Special:Upload.

These image templates could be tags {{GFDL}} or full blown templates which the user uploading the image could/should/would fill out with additional data on the image.

Might help the commons folks organize their collection, too. :)

Come to think of it, &editintro=  might be a handy paramter, too. Possibly a better implementation that the current &uselang= method they have going:

Wondering how relevant this still is in times of Commons mostly using UploadWizard (see e.g. bug 49443 for those issues).
