Description Jeff G. 2007-10-04 23:37:31 UTC
Hi. I have a Wikimedia Commons account, among others. I have it configured to "E-mail me when my user talk page is changed" on "my preferences" at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences . Pfctdayelise made an edit http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Jeff_G.&diff=prev&oldid=7822617 to my user talk page 11:49, 2 October 2007 (UTC). The e-mail message sent to notify me when that change occurred appears to have entered the Wikimedia email system "Wed, 3 Oct 2007 18:35:46 GMT" (that is, 18:35:46, 3 October 2007 (UTC), 30 hours and 46 minutes later), and carried the following headers (with "x" representing the actual email address used):

The change notification is not being sent immediately on page edit, but during a batch process. Due to some DB problems, the batch queue was filling up and it took some time to process the waiting requests.
