Description Marco 2007-09-24 20:42:17 UTC
I run a 1300Mhz AMD processor with 1GB of RAM, Linux kernel 2.6.21 with KDE3.5.6 and Firefox 2.0.0.6 environment with following Java version:
marco@debian:~$ java -version
java version "1.5.0_11"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_11-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_11-b03, mixed mode, sharing)

When I start the player for a Ogg media (in my case at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verschw%C3%B6rungstheorie), the browser freezes for something like ten seconds, then the file starts to play.

When I close the tab containing a running player, the sound continues so 3-4 minutes until it stops.

This may well be fixed now. Can you retest?
