Description Tim Ivorson 2007-09-02 17:44:33 UTC
When two right-aligned images of different widths are placed close together and a line of text is at the same height as the join between the two images, the text sometimes wraps at the narrower image, rather than the wider image. The result is that some text is partly obscured.

To reproduce the bug, follow these steps. Ensure that ensure that you are using the Monobook skin. Insert two images into a page, placing both on the right, one immediately after the other. Modify the widths of the images so that there is a big step where the images join. Modify the heights of the images (change widths or the images if necessary), so that the step is at the same height as the middle of some line of text. Extend the line of text next to the step so that it at least reaches the step. Use words short enough to tell which image causes the text to wrap.

I believe the correct result to is for the text to wrap at the wider image, but the actual result is for the text to wrap at the narrower image and be partially obscured by the wider image.

My brief experiment seems to suggest the problem to be specific to the (default) Monobook skin.

Hi Tim! Sorry that nobody has taken a look at this report yet and given feedback.

I went to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chukotka_Autonomous_Okrug&oldid=152401010&use_skin=monobook to get an idea how the page looked when you reported this, but cannot reproduce the problem.
Nowadays by default images are in a frame with a caption below, so I fail to reproduce.
I'm closing this report as WORKSFORME, but please reopen if this is still a problem and if you have a testcase.
