On the main page of meta, there is a link [[Image:WikiJunior
logo.PNG|100px|WikiJunior]]. However, rather than showing the image, it shows a
normal link to the image description page, apparently not recognizing that 'PNG'
(instead of 'png') is an image format.

Changed summary to reflect actual problem.

The generated thumbnail image was in the new uploads area, but an incorrect link in the filesystem 
caused the old area to be searched by the uploads webserver. No image was returned, and your browser 
showed the alternate text.
