Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Sergey Chernyshev 2007-08-10 16:54:38 UTC
Current form preview button takes user to the standard preview page with source editor on the bottom and there is no way for the user to reliably get back to editing data using a form (back button is not reliable way, unfortunately).

Ideal solution would have preview button lead to custom preview page that shows the preview of the page with the form at the bottom with information ready to be modified.

I created a Bug 11085 as a possible temporary solution to this problem.

Claiming bug. I think I'll look at a few places when I have the time. I've got 3 theoretical ideas on how this could possibly be done.

Implemented in version 1.8.3, via Javascript; I would have preferred a PHP solution, and maybe that's coming eventually, but for now, I'm setting this bug to "fixed".
