Description Purodha Blissenbach 2007-06-30 20:27:10 UTC
Since the job queue is not a wiki related property any more, it should be put under a heading of its own in [[Special:Statisitcs]], e.g. such as "Server Statistics", for clarity.
Comment 1 Rob Church 2007-06-30 22:08:53 UTC
The job queue estimate is prone to being inaccurate and there's no real purpose in having it presented as any kind of statistic.

It should probably be completely removed.
Comment 2 Raimond Spekking 2007-07-02 09:47:07 UTC
Maybe a kind of dupe of bug 5619: Break messages used in Special:Statistics down further?
Comment 3 Purodha Blissenbach 2007-07-06 08:27:15 UTC
Before the joub queue count became cross-wiki, we could use it, when working on templates, to figure out, when our changes had been propagated, resp. to which extent they had been propagated already. This was helpful for final checks. *If* this kind of functionality can easily be re-gained somehow, it may be worth thinking of.
Comment 4 Brion Vibber 2007-07-06 13:04:47 UTC
Job queues are, and have always been, per-wiki. There is no such thing as a "cross-wiki" job queue count.
