Description jd027 2007-06-12 20:19:58 UTC
Site:Wikipedia

Occasionally when clicking on a "blue-link" for a namespace other than main (e.g. portal, wikipedia, user, image, etc.) a Wikimedia error message will come up confirming that the site is experiencing technical difficulties. However, there is a way around this, by clicking "back" and typing in the destination into the URL. The page comes up. This does not apply to the article namespace, and it doesn't happen to every link. It also sometimes happens when submitting an edit.

The mediawiki error message is because the server which received your request id having problems. This is a TEMPORARY ERROR. Next request may work. Moreover, when you go back and type the url, your request will go to a different server.
