Description Luna Santin 2007-06-06 19:29:27 UTC
Asked in #mediawiki, seemed to get a positive response:

[12:17] <Luna-San> Hm. Quick question, before maybe submitting to bugzilla, would it be feasible to make "talk page only" watchlist entries? Somebody was complaining about the sheer activity of en.wikipedia's admin intervention against vandalism page, as they wanted to watch the talk page without the flooding from the project page. Seemed like a possible solution, but not sure how hard it might be to implement.

The reverse would also be useful. For example, to be notified of changes to the English Wikipedia's Main Page, which are rare but important, without being bothered by changes to its talk page, which is edited dozens of times a day.

How would this best be presented in the user interface? The default behaviour would need to hold, so how does a user indicate that he wishes to watch a single page?
