Description Carl Austin Bennett 2007-05-17 20:58:25 UTC
In a current SVN version, {{DISPLAYTITLE}} appears to be making one too many text->HTML translations.

What appears to the users contains HTML codes like > instead of >

Remove any characters subject to substitution (such as < or >) and {{DISPLAYTITLE}} is otherwise usable.
Comment 1 Brion Vibber 2007-05-17 21:02:07 UTC
< and > are converted pretty early on in various things.

{{DISPLAYTITLE}} however should not even be allowing them, since they are not legal title characters... it _should_ only allow titles that normalize to the same normalized title as the page has. (But the current implementation I think does not make this restriction as it should.)
