Description Zachary Hauri 2007-04-22 04:17:53 UTC
It would be nice if the parsing of MediaWiki notice messages (sitenotice,
anonnotice, namespacenotice-*) was done after the caching instead of before it.
Or at least don't cache magic words that can differ from page to page, like
{{PAGENAME}} or {{NAMESPACE}}.
Comment 1 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2007-04-23 02:01:17 UTC
I believe this is for performance and it has been indicated that this behavior
will not be changed.
Comment 2 Zachary Hauri 2007-04-26 00:21:58 UTC
I wasn't aware that setting $wgParserCacheType to CACHE_NONE would make this
work, so I guess I don't have any reason to keep this bug open. Unless somebody
else wants this.
Comment 3 Brion Vibber 2007-04-26 15:38:50 UTC
Unfeasible for performance reasons.
