Please create a Wikijunior namespace on the English Wikibooks project. If they are not created automatically, it would also be nice to have special pages (e.g. "Most wanted", "orphans", etc) available just within the Wikijunior namespace. Thank you, [[Xixtas]] This was discussed and consensus was reached at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Wikibooks:Staff_lounge/Technical_Chat#Wikijunior_Namespace Our naming convention for books has been to name each book with Wikijunior_Bookname. Modules (or pages) are named Wikijunior_Bookname/Modulename. If it is possible can a script be run to move all pages beginning Wikijunior_ to the Wikijunior: namespace? Likewise can all talk pages following the convention Talk:Wikijunior_Bookname(/Modulename) be moved to the new namespace at Wikijunior_Talk:Bookname(/Modulename)
I'm not sure if we need to do the page move here, but we could. The main thing here is to get the Wikijunior namespace created. We could rename the pages manually using admin tools if necessary or have one of the Wikibooks admins run a bot on the pages. The creation of the Wikijunior namespace does have quite widespread support and no opposition.
I agree, the Wikijunior namespace is the most important thing. We will also need Wikijunior added to $wgNamespacesWithSubpages in order to have subpages work properly.
Site updated. Subpage should be enabled too. Existing pages have been moved automatically.
Existing pages haven't been automatically moved, but thats ok, can be done by hand. Subpages hasn't been enabled either. Been moving pages today and noticed the problem, no back link and relative page links not working.
subpages should be enabled now.
