Conceptually, $wgContentNamespaces - which defaults to array(NS_MAIN) - defines a list of Namespaces containing content articles. As opposed to Talk, Help, Category, etc. Special:Statistics uses this global in determining site statistics. Shouldn't Special:Popularpages respect the same list? Here's documentation on the meaning and usage of $wgContentNamespaces: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Using_custom_namespaces#Content_namespaces I have a patch to implement this, which I will be attaching shortly.
Created attachment 3325 [details] Causes Special:Popularpages to respect $wgContentNamespaces
Attached patch looks sane.
Applied in r20275.
Thank you very much!
