It would be extremely useful to be able to use the following things on pages to reduce 
bloating:
* variables (already avalible in templates would be useful to have ones which can be 
manual)
* arrays
* if statements

Variables are bug 7865.  If-statements already exist in ParserFunctions.  In
general, please open one bug for one request to allow easier bug management.
