Description William Flake 2007-03-01 21:48:19 UTC
I access enwiki from Mozilla Firefox. On feature that i frequently use is the
keyword searching bookmarks. One such bookmark allows me to type "rand
Template" to access "Special:Random/Template", or, in Firefox's syntax, "rand
%s" directs me to "Special:Random/%s". The problem is, when I forget to specify
a namespace, the namespace is filled in with "%s", resulting in an invalid
address error. It there any way that "Special:Random/%s" could find a random
page in the mainspace instead of simply providing an error?

This is far too specific a feature to be worth putting in the software.
