Description Tom Gilder 2004-11-18 21:05:29 UTC
It'd be a major usability bonus to be able to insert a search box into the actual content on Wikipedia's
Main Page. I believe it should be the first thing people see, and not easy to miss.

We'd need an extension and some template/tag to insert it into the content.

See http://tom.me.uk/2004/11/wikipedia-search-box.html for an example of how this could look.

Erik's recent "inputbox" extension for v1.5 allows this.
