Featurerequest - please take this Extension to Core.

Exists as extension.

I know - my Request was to take it into Core for Usability and make MediaWiki a
modern Wiki.

This Feature is Core at every other Wiki. If MediaWiki Developers want to stay
backwards thats your choice.
