On wiktionary NL, a template is used for translations. In this template there is a link to a translation in the same wiktionary (NL) as well a a link to a word in another wiktionary in superscript. However, there no wiktionary for all languages. Most wiktionary's that exist are identified by their ISO 639-1 language code (2 letters), other languages are identified by their ISO 639-3 language code (3 letters). The StringFunctions extension would be usefull to check whether an ISO code is valid to link to an other wiktionary (by using {{#len}}).
