Description Rémi Kaupp 2007-02-13 17:49:26 UTC
It would be more convenient if a user could be notified when a page he watches
has been deleted; this notification could appear in his watchlist at the time of
deletion, with a link towards the deletion log. Alternatively, a message could
be issued similar to the "you have new messages" when the user talk page is edited.

The motivation behind it is that it is hard for new users to know why a
particular page does not appear in their watchlist (and if they go on the page,
it does not appear clearly that it has been deleted: they have to find their way
to the deletion log, which can be pretty tricky). Also, it can be tiresome for
admins to notify each user when a page is deleted.
