In RDF Export, attributes of Type:Email are exported with attribute
rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string"

Perhaps in RDF export it should have mailto: in front, and then it could
exported with datatype #anyURI, see http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#anyURI

For what it's worth, the proposed Jabber RDF protocol does this, see
http://www.xmpp.org/extensions/inbox/rdfcard.html#email
Comment 1 Markus Krötzsch 2007-10-03 16:33:28 UTC
In fact, Jabber (IMHO rightly) encodes emails in the style of object properties, not like datatype properties with an explicit XSD type (this does not affect that the range might be restricted to anyURI). This is also in line with FOAF. We have changed Type:Email accordingly.
