When importing an article, the contributions are partially assigned to the wrong users. Example: The diff in the URL above is a contribution by [[en:user:Deb]] but it appears as a contribution by [[de:user:Deb]] ([[de:Special:Contributions/Deb]]). If you cannot add interwiki links to the contributors' user names in page history, could you at least change the names, e.g. to [[user:en:Deb]] instead of [[user:Deb]]?
This problem is rather difficult at present but will be solved when SUL is finally finished, so any solution would take a good deal of work but be obsolescent anyway. Therefore, Brion has said it won't be fixed, annoying though it may be for the time being. (If it turns out to be easier to fix than expected, I suppose it's possible a workaround patch would be accepted, but I'm not the judge of that.) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 7240 ***
No, it will not be satisfactorily solved by SUL as that only deals with transwikis within the wikimedia family. It doesn't deal with forks, as I understand it, as they could import a page I've written, create a username which coincides with mine and edit the page, making it impossible to tell our contributions apart, without going to wikipedia to check which versions were already there before the fork.
