Using firefox, wikiedit a page.
Enter some text. e.g., aaabbccc
Edit->Search (Ctrl-F) for some text. e.g. bb
Observe the text is found and highlited.
In the firefox-Find bar, enable 'Highlight all'
Observe highlight color changes.
Attempt to place wikiedit-cursor within a highlited area.
Observe failure.

Workaround: Disable 'Highlight-all' to edit a search target

If we can find an acceptable workaround, we should.  And if this only occurs at
Wikimedia sites, then we probably can somehow.  Can you confirm that this
doesn't happen elsewhere, Mr. Mitchell?

I can confirm this happens on a trivial test page:

While annoying, it's not a MediaWiki-related problem.
