Description Oz 2007-01-28 02:51:33 UTC
When I tried to use the {{vandal}} template with user
Wwwyoutubecomwatchv=DaqenFwxe2I (see his contributions, etc. at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Wwwyoutubecomwatchv%3DDaqenFwxe2I),
this text in the edit screen:

{{vandal|Wwwyoutubecomwatchv=DaqenFwxe2I}}

became this on the preview screen:

Example User (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log)

using {{userlinks|Wwwyoutubecomwatchv=DaqenFwxe2I}} produced the same result.
Why does this username mess up the template?

This is not a bug with the MediaWiki software as such. It's a feature of the template system that
you can use named parameters, but unfortunately this is causing your difficulty. Use this:

{{vandal|1=Wwwyoutubecomwatchv=DaqenFwxe2I}}

You can read up on the details at [[m:Help:Template]] and linked-to pages.

Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
