Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Raimond Spekking 2007-01-16 12:56:59 UTC
It seems, that there are some redundant messages in MessagesEn.php:

# Make sysop
'makesysoptitle'
'makesysoptext'
'makesysopname'
'makesysopsubmit'
'makesysopok'
'makesysopfail'
'rights'
'set_user_rights'
'user_rights_set'
'set_rights_fail'
'makesysop'
'already_sysop'
'already_bureaucrat'

These messages are identical in SpecialMakesysop.i18n.php. I would provide a
patch to delete them from en and all other language files if I can be sure there
are no dependencies with other parts of MediaWiki.

The other messages of this group seems to be necassary in MessagesEn.php:

'setbureaucratflag'
'rightslog'
'rightslogtext'
'rightslogentry'
'rightsnone'
Comment 1 Rotem Liss 2007-01-16 12:59:06 UTC
Removing them.
Comment 2 Rotem Liss 2007-01-16 13:49:05 UTC
Removed from MessagesEn.php, MessagesHe.php and messages.inc in r19332. Other
language files should be updated.
Comment 3 Raimond Spekking 2007-01-18 16:02:44 UTC
All other (27 languages) moved with r19452.
