Description Tyler Romeo 2007-01-16 00:37:18 UTC
As I noticed a while ago when I was a beginner editor on Wikipedia, I did not understand
what any of the wiki-markup on Wikipedia meant. I got an idea from this, what if there
was an easy-edit mode, or something like that, where it is simple to make common edits.
In addition, beginner editors can edit article much easier until they learn wiki-markup.

What would be the difference(s) between normal edit and easy edit? We can't really make the
markup go away. If we stripped the markup before presenting the page, it would be fairly
impractical to re-add it when we get it back. I suppose it would be possible, of course, but if
we're looking for accessibility, [[WYSIWYG]] is almost certainly a better bet.
