Description Brion Vibber 2006-12-19 22:02:21 UTC
The new styles for thumbnail boxes introduced in r18237 require classes which
are not present in older thumbnails.

Squid- or parser-cached pages containing the old renderings do not display
correctly with the new style sheets: the boxes are missing borders, backgrounds,
etc.

New styles should generally be backwards-compatible, showing old rendered
content in an acceptable manner.

These styles were introduced to support the ImageMap extension. The old
selectors do not work with ImageMap, which inserts an extra div between the
thumbinner div and the image. I'm going to remove the old selectors again, to
restore correct styling for ImageMap. The HTML caches will have expired on
Wikimedia by now.
