Description Dan Jacobson 2006-12-12 15:49:38 UTC
Judging from websites I've visited, mediawiki doesn't put its own version
number anywhere in the webpages it makes, not even in the comments,
nor even in HTTP header!

Well, there's Special:Version. Plonking the MediaWiki version number in parsed
HTML means we'd have to invalidate the parser caches every time we bumped it,
which isn't a happy idea.

Is there any particular benefit to this?
