Create a new page, then look in Recentchanges.
The link to it has a &rcid= stuck to it. Yuck.

What if one is a slow reader, and by the time one gets around to
clicking on it, the page has changed? This is just one of the reasons
not to have the rcid= stuck on the back especially for the first
instance of new pages.

As far as I understand, "rcid" is only attached to diffs and new pages if the
user can patrol and the edit/page are unpatrolled.
