Description Dominic 2006-12-05 08:53:11 UTC
[[Special:Unusedtemplates]] currently lists unused redirects in the template
namespace, which clogs the listing and makes it less useful. For instance, in
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Unusedtemplates>,
[[Template:ActiveWiktionaries]] is included, while its target *is* used. There
is no need for any redirects to be listed at all.
Comment 1 Phil Boswell 2006-12-05 10:04:09 UTC
Would it not be better if Redirects were wrapped with a CSS-class <span/> like on
Special:Allpages?

Then users could format or inhibit them as they wished, and it would make it easier to
spot redundant template-redirects for culling...

Patch to exclude redirects
Comment 3 Andrew Garrett 2008-03-12 05:12:02 UTC
Better late than never, r31841.

Note that I've not implemented the suggestions of a span / url parameter. I don't think that it is at all useful for anyone to see redirects as unused templates - at least not on the same page as other unused templates.
