[[Special:Unusedtemplates]] currently lists unused redirects in the template namespace, which clogs the listing and makes it less useful. For instance, in <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Unusedtemplates>, [[Template:ActiveWiktionaries]] is included, while its target *is* used. There is no need for any redirects to be listed at all.
Would it not be better if Redirects were wrapped with a CSS-class <span/> like on Special:Allpages? Then users could format or inhibit them as they wished, and it would make it easier to spot redundant template-redirects for culling...

Better late than never, r31841. Note that I've not implemented the suggestions of a span / url parameter. I don't think that it is at all useful for anyone to see redirects as unused templates - at least not on the same page as other unused templates.
