The underlying format language shows up.  Window XP 203 and Firefox 2.0 RC1
atest patches on HP zd8120 =cl using Radeon X600 video.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinculum_%28symbol%29 appears just fine.

roy, please:

1) Confirm you have not blocked images from upload.wikimedia.org in Firefox.
Right-click on the equation and *uncheck* "Block images from upload.wikimedia.org" if 
it is checked.

2) Confirm your user preferences are not set to show math as raw LaTeX.
Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences and confirm that the math 
setting is at "Recommended for most browsers".
