Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Dan Jacobson 2006-09-16 14:20:44 UTC
Parser.php: There should be a __NOCATEGORIES__ just like __NOTOC__, to
inhibit adding the category list at the end of a page.

By the way, this code:
	function stripNoGallery( &$text ) {
		# if the string __NOGALLERY__ (not case-sensitive) occurs in the HTML,
		# do not add TOC
don't you mean "do not add gallery"?

By the way, index.php?title=Special:Categories&article=Bla is the same
as index.php?title=Special:Categories, so why add such an argument to
that link at the bottom of each page?

Also there should be a way to inhibit always giving the user a edit
box for categories that have members, but no text.
For now one must use [{{fullurl:Category:Bla}} Category:Bla]

Why do you want to suppress the category list? You can just not add the categories.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2006-09-18 08:09:18 UTC
That doesn't make a lot of sense, WONTFIXing.
Comment 3 Dan Jacobson 2006-10-15 13:23:51 UTC
is an example of where I want the pros without the cons...
