Description とある白い猫 2006-09-01 22:40:41 UTC
"The upload directory (/mnt/upload3/wikipedia/commons) is not writable by the
webserver."

I got this error msg while attempting to upload an image to commons. The upload
worked on second attempt. I am not sure what to make of the error.
Comment 1 Filip Maljkovic [Dungodung] 2006-09-01 22:43:20 UTC
The same error appeared on sr: wikipedia in the late afternoon/evening UTC.
Comment 2 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2006-09-03 01:25:19 UTC
Why is this fixed? Have the errors just stopped occurring for you at the
present time, or are you aware that the reason has been located and fixed? If
we don't know the issue is solved, the issue is still open, and the bug should
be too.
Comment 3 とある白い猫 2006-09-03 02:16:11 UTC
It was a simple set of shell commands Tim preformed to fix it. Apperantly this
is somrthing routine... Thats what Tim told me.
Comment 4 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2006-09-03 02:18:28 UTC
Ah, okay. For the future, it's best to say where/how it was fixed (usually the
revision number), so people don't get confused and know where to look if things
go wrong.
Comment 5 Rob Church 2006-09-03 13:53:43 UTC
I'd like to ask Tim to stop preforming routine apperant somrthings; it's not
legal in most countries of the world.
Comment 6 とある白い猫 2006-09-03 16:12:30 UTC
I do not think shell commands are illegal anywhere even in North Korea or Iran.
Comment 7 Rob Church 2006-09-03 17:39:37 UTC
I think you need to have a quick think about

* your spelling
* how much of a picky bastard I am
* how appalling my sense of humour is
* what I typed above

;)
Comment 8 とある白い猫 2006-09-03 20:53:13 UTC
Yea, well... I was trying to kill the joke. ;)
