As a user of the special page, once I am done importing the translations and aligning them, I would be clicking on the 'Save' button to save the translations and create corresponding pages. Current approach: Right now, once 'Save' is clicked, all the input fields and buttons are greyed out to prevent any other requests being sent while the post requests are getting executed and this becomes an indicator that something is happening at behind. Proposed improvement: For a user, especially for impatient ones, it would be great to know what is the current progress regarding the saving of the translations. This becomes a must have feature for long pages containing more than 50 translation units, for example. Possible solutions: 1. Add a progress bar indicating the percent of pages saved. 2. Change the background color or border color of the translation unit that got saved. These would improve the user experience with the tool. If you have any other approach, please comment! :)
As a very impatient user, I agree. :-) Just having a spinning icon would help as well; or whatever is simplest to do, for instance a counter of units saved or whatever. No need to have fancy completion bars or exact percentages if that makes stuff harder.
Yes, a spinner would work well as a first solution to this bug. Something is better than nothing. Once that is in place, we can think of improvising in the subsequent patches.
