Before a full deployment to production.

Have the extension registered in mediawiki/extensions.git (use sync-with-gerrit.py script at the root of that repository to do so).

Then it is all about tweaking operations/mediawiki-config.git to have the extension loaded (probably by using the files ending with -labs.php).

I set $wgVERPsecret in PrivateSettings.php and have scheduled the deployment to beta labs for next Monday's SWAT: <https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Deployments&diff=123603&oldid=123601>
