In production in beta. Steps to repro:

1. Go to French, Polish, or Russian Wikipedia (where VE should be the default editing experience). 
2. Opt into beta, log in, and attempt to edit a page.

Expected: I am taken to VE editing mode, since VE is the default editing experience on those projects.

Actual: I am taken to wikitext editing. Furthermore, I don't have the option to switch to VE editing in the edit window (the cog that shows me the drop-down menu is missing). 

Also observed on Portuguese and Spanish Wikipedia. It seems to be everywhere except enwiki.

Derp, helps to enable beta again after you clear your cookies for testing purposes :)
