Request for the localization of Urdu wikipedia's namespace. all variables have been translated here http://ur.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Wikivar where we were unsure are left blank If localization is possible do we have to change every page where these variables have been used or leave them as they are? any risks involved in it?
Hallo WiseSabre! [[ur:template:Wikivar#SITENAME]] is not set yet to "وکیپیڈیا". Please open another request to change the sitename names of the Urdu projects. Thanks in advance! About your questions: a) all pages which used "canonical" (English) names of the namespaces will change automaticaly / will be displayed with the new title b) pages which where de facto always in the main namespace and start with a prefix which you have selected as namespace names can be moved to the apropriate namespace by developers; however the associated talk pages need to be moved manualy or using a bot; the same will happen when you specify the sitenames for the Urdu projects c) the MediaWiki messages should only use references to {{SITENAME}} and / or to the "canonical" (English) names of the namespaces; if you need a {{GRAMMAR:}} function in order to use the apropriate grammatical forms for the sitenames please contact Niklas or me at the IRC. best regards reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
Would it be possible to get core code changes as a patch against Subversion trunk, or am I going to have to go digging around?

sorry for replying too late, i was too busy in my studies. this patch seems to me OK !! from where "$wgMetaNamespace" variable will be loaded?
I've updated the namespaces, but I'm leaving the bug open because the other half of the original request, i.e. changing the magic words, has not yet been fulfilled.
Can someone post a patch for the magic words?

Whats your problem? Post the orginal file if its only a problem to gerete the unified patch.

basically I want to create a patch of http://ur.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5:Allmessages according to my knowledge (my understand up till now) above messages are taken from mediawiki's (mediawiki\languages\messages) MessagesUr.php I am being asked to created patch because ur.wikipedia system messages contain messages specific to wikipedia... I feel stuck. :/ I tried contacting several persons but no one replied. please can't someone, who was understand to my problem devise some easy steps for me to follow?

I will close this bug as FIXED, for further translations of magic words and/or messages please provide at least a textfile, better an unified SVN diff against trunk in a new bug.
