Implement: 1) A preference for each user called "see_sigs" 2) Have all sig markers expand to 2 divs, first the default sig, second their obnoxious sig. e.g. <span class="defaultsig">default</span><span class="usersig">usersig</span> 3) Have the user preference tweak their per-user css, which tweaks "display: none" on whatever class is appropriate. This would allow users to decide not to see custom sigs provided people don't go back and edit the expansion.
Educate the users that using irritating signatures is a waste of time and the mark of an idiot. This option would require us to save a lot more junk into the markup during the pre-save transform and waste space.
