I wanted to use <DynamicPageList> in nl.wikipedia, but the software didn't support the code. I asked some people where I could add the code to the software and someone said I had to ask it here. So, hereby I would like to aks you to add the code to the software of nl.wikipedia. Thank you very much, Emiel
I'm waiting now for almost a half year and still you didn'n turn the code on. What's wrong?
Please also enable DPL2. Thanks
Surely it's redundant to have both? Out of interest, what would you be using the extension for? We don't normally enable it all over the place since it's quite expensive to run and not necessarily appropriate for an encyclopaedia.
I wanted to use it for the portals, to show the new pages.
We probably will never install DPL2. DynamicPageList itself is kind of unreliable. Most likely a replacement for both which is more targeted and works more cleanly would be better.
but why is it installes at wikinews and not at wikipedia? It works there very good, so why don't install it at wikipedia?
Is there a special reason why DPL is called "kind of unreliable"? I made a lot of improvements (see [http://semeb.com/dpldemo the dpldemo website]). And I think it can be quite useful. If there are concerns please let me know on my user discussion page on the dpldemo website.

I would like to know whether there are new developments on this bug. I came across the DynamicPageList functionality when I started working on wikinews the other day. It is working excellent over there and I would very much like to be able to use it on (the Dutch) Wikipedia as well. Thanks.
DynamicPageList has gotten grandfathered in on Wikinews and maybe a couple of other projects, but it's not viewed as suitable for enabling on larger wikis, last I heard. It is not enabled on any Wikipedia or Wiktionary that I know of, for instance. Wikinews tends to be small enough, and this extension critical enough to their purpose, that it's enabled there, but I don't think it's ever going to be enabled on any projects it isn't already enabled on. I could be wrong, since these bugs (search, there are quite a lot of them) haven't been closed.

This got done at some point; nlwiki's special:version shows DPL installed
(In reply to comment #13) > This got done at some point; nlwiki's special:version shows DPL installed > Sorry, that's incorrect; I must have been looking at the wrong wiki :(
Changing component to "Site requests" Raising severity to "normal" Make sure all bugs have the "shell" keyword
DPL is now live on project.
Had to revert, seems this didn't get a rewrite and has issues on larger projects like this.
Marking later, needs extension dealing wtih
