Per community discussion (see the provided URL), I would like to request the following changes in the user rights configuration for Czech Wikipedia (cswiki): 1) Please add new group of user rights with name "arbitr" and rights: * deletedhistory * deletedtext * browsearchive * abusefilter-log-detail 2) Bureaucrats should be able to add and remove users from this "arbitr" group. Motivation: To allow members of arbitration committee easier access to evidence. I am an user on cswiki Beren. Thanks.
Change 113542 had a related patch set uploaded by Odder: Create an ArbCom group on the Czech Wikipedia https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/113542
You might want to have a look at, and perhaps change, the following messages that refer to the 'arbcom' user group: * https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Group-arbcom * https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Group-arbcom-member * https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Grouppage-arbcom
Change of group name 'arbitr' > 'arbcom' is fine and all 3 messages are acceptable.
CC'ed Philippe for the WMF's OK on the deleted history stuff.
The WMF does not need to OK anything. It's regular stuff.
For the record, provided that arbs are elected through a validly constituted and licit election, there's no need for the WMF to approve, as Odder says. And if the arbs are elected through any other process, we'd have bigger problems to deal with :-) This looks standard to me. pb
For clarification: Policy about arbcom elections on Czech Wikipedia is here: https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedie:Pravidla_arbitr%C3%A1%C5%BEe#Volby_arbitr.C3.A1.C5.BEn.C3.ADho_v.C3.BDboru Adding the user group does not change that policy (elections with 2/3 majority of votes and so on) in any way. Role of bureaucrats should be only technical - to give rights to all members of ArbCom elected through process described in policy and remove rights if they lose membership by rules (they resign or become inactive or their mandate expired).
