Hi everybody, On Persian Wikipedia one of the users mentioned the google inter-wiki link that exists globally. [[google:foo]] will add the google.com/?q=foo link or writing the same without braces in search bar leads to google. I want to ask if there is a way to add inter-wiki link just for Persian wikipedia (locally) which links to google in Persian: [[گوگل:]] and also search google with Persian language preference (lh=fa). If it is possible to do it on wiki it self just tell me how. If it should be done by developers I would like to ask them for this. Thanks agian

It's a great idea. However, I don't think this is possible at the moment - the only sane way I can think of doing this is to add a row to the interwiki table for fawiki. But any data in the interwiki table is ignored when $wgInterwikiCache is in use (which is the case for all WMF wikis). I think this should be made possible. It's silly to have an Anglo-centric interwiki map with no way to provide additional links of local relevance.
