Firefox 1.0.7 under XP. (Also Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0, but MSIE is ok.) English Wikipedia. Edit screen. 'Classic' skin. Only vaguely similar bug was 2057. Brion reports some recent changes to the edit screen page on the Village pump (technical) as of 17APR06, but I read these as relating to a different set of buttons. When clicking the 'Save page' or 'Show preview' buttons, the screen scrolls up to leave the mouse pointer not sitting on the button. Second clicks do not exhibit the effect. Clicking with the pointer at the very top of the button leaves the pointer still over the button, so that the action is executed on releasing the button. ctrl+shift+R has been tried, to no effect.
First, update your FireFox here: http://www.getfirefox.com Second, do you have any extra javascript in use?
Cannot reproduce with Firefox 1.5.0.2 on Mac OS X, 1.0.8 on Ubuntu Linux, or 1.5.0.2 on Windows XP SP 2.
I can confirm the problem with FF 1.0/Linux - but on many sites, including bugzilla. Not sure when it happens, but it seems to be an FF bug.
I agree with Daniel Kinzler. This WFM on 1.5.0.2 on WinXP SP2
Updated Firefox to 1.5.0.2 as recommended. This fixes the problem. Thanks.
